14.9.42 The paint on the exterior surface is in bad condition having eroded away and become dull in the places where it remains. The middle swirl of the pattern is nearly lost completely. Reasonably free from deposits.
2004.8.6 Single, four sided fragment, roughly broken on three sides. The black paint on the rim itself has been worn in patches, but the thick black band around the rim has preserved its colour and paint. The reserved background has surface scratces and is worn in places. The reverse of the fragmnent is black in colour with five minute chips to the surface paint.
2005.2.4 Single fragment comprising about half of the base, scratched and chipped in places; broken surfaces abraded and covered with grey deposits.

27.10.1 Restored false neck and rejoined spout (with added clay around the join to the body), but otherwise intact. Black bands faded in places. Minor chips and scratches on the body and shoulder. The side with the spout has a crazed look (?).
27.3.3 Complete but has been restored on one side and one handle has been repaired in two places. Small chips in base.
28.6.5 Complete and intact. Black glaze worn in most places, most notably on the top.
28.6.6 Damage to one handle almost breaking the circle. Complete handle has deposits (perhaps from burial). Paint is very worn and in most places only staining remains. For such a fragile rim it is in excellent condition with no chips.
29.11.13 Missing (part of) head. Large areas of brownish-grey deposit all over body, with areas of white slip showing through in some places and chipped off elsewhere. On stomach, in between two front legs, is a small hole, perhaps from the firing process.
29.11.2 Intact. Paint slightly worn in places but overall in very good condition. Bad quality of gloss fired brownish. Gloss applied thinly on the exterior of the mouth and the handle.
33.4.2 Complete but not intact. Rim of foot made up with plaster. Decoration worn in places, small holes and scratches all over surface. Lower bands on foot half missing because of restoration with modern materials, as is one handle.
34.10.13 Intact. Small chips on rim and foot. Design remains clear. Small chips to paint around mouth. Body beneath handle is red in places, with small amount of white deposit.
34.10.17 Complete. The white slip has worn away in places, and there is a smooth grey deposit evident in patches. Also, the munsell colour shows through. The features of the face are still fairly clear, but the eyes seem worn. The surface all over feels smooth, but the base of the neck is slightly uneven and a bit chipped.
34.8.11 Intact, tip of nozzle and area of base chipped. Smaller chips all over the lamp. Glaze wearing, white deposit in places.
34.8.9 Slightly chipped around rim, especially one large part missing from the upper edge; decoration worn and scratched in places; some light gray deposits on the inside and by the handle attachment; slight white deposits on the bottom.
35.5.34A-Q The decoration and pattern on all are in good condition and still very visible. The smaller parts are a bit more worn and the black gloss of fragment (e) is patchy in places.
37.11.5 Handle has been repaired; rim chipped; Gloss flaked off at places on the body, handles and the resting surface; small crack in centre of underside. Intact but assembled from 2 pieces. One handle, part of rim and body assembled.
37.11.7 Small dents to rim and body and scratching of paint. Deposits underside of handle and in groove. Chip in base. Lustre has worn off in places.
39.9.7 In two places, part of the rim has broken away. There is also a deep crack in side A, from the part of the rim next to one handle, almost up to the part where the other handle springs from. Colour has peeled off in some places, especially the interior. The body of the satyr to the right of the amphora was a bit damaged when paint was still wet.
45.10.21 Two small fragments that Annie Ure has catalouged as coming from same vessel.i) chips along the edges of the exterior of the fragment as well as on black decoration, White deposits on both external and inrternal sides. ii) exterior shows damage and places where the decoration has rubbed off
45.6.13 Intact, but badly worn on the surface so that the design is crude and lacking detail. Black paint at neck, mouth and towards base has almost completely worn away. 'Chunks' of clay missing in three or four places on body.
45.6.49 Complete and intact, grey deposit in places.
45.6.66 Intact, one side of the top of the central tube has chipped away, numerous small chips to the outer body. The black glaze is worn in places. There is a white deposit over areas of the exterior, the interior has a deposit too, wick hole is almost completely blocked with deposit.
47.2.11 Gloss of quite good quality, but at places it has lost its lustre; some gloss chipped off of rim and base.
47.2.23 Intact. White deposit on rim, paint worn in places. Design still very clear.
47.2.24 Good, but missing one handle, paint slightly faded and pinkish in places. Base not completely flat so object slightly unstable

48.12.13 Intact. Rim has small chips, the body has chips of varying sizes and also small holes which do not appear to go all the way through the fabric. There is a piece of debris in one of the handles. Colour is fading in some places, maybe due to firing process.
48.12.2 Complete, small chip on rim by one handle, small chip in opposite handle, barely noticeable. Paint slightly worn and scratched in places (not affecting decoration). Interior blotchy, as if water had been spilt while material still wet.
48.5.3 Intact but surface worn in places.
50.10.4 The rim has been reconstructed from 2 fragments repaired. The handle has also been rejoined with the vessel and the whole of the upper part (from rim to end of shoulder) has been reattached to the body. The glaze is shiny in places but has begun to crack in others. There are also deposits on the rim, neck, shoulder and foot / base. Several bits have pitted off from the body.
50.12.25 Fragment; pattern rubbed off in many places.
50.12.49 Brown lines faded in places
50.12.50 Single fragment preserving the upper part, from the head to the lower part of the chest. Chipped at the top. Decoration is almost rubbed off in many places.
50.12.51 Single fragment, chipped and worn in a few places.
50.4.15 Grey deposit inside bowl. Glaze chipped in places and worn around rim and handles. Crack running around one side of bowl ending under handles intersecting mid-way with crack running to rim. Triangular chip on rim next to handle approximately 2cm on each side.
50.4.23 Intact, slight anomaly on the left hand side of the nozzle, ware all over the lamp with considerable amounts of wash missing. Outer ring around the discus is misshapen in one place, probably happened in manufacture. Protruding form on the discus has been broken off. Grey deposit in places, blackening at the end of the nozzle, probably from use.
50.4.24 Comprised of two fragments rejoined with B72 glue. Wash has faded considerably in places, small amount of residue; handle slightly chipped.
50.4.25 Complete, but with nozzle glued back on with B72 glue. A few cracks on the discus, wash wearing in places. Small hole where spout joins discus.
51.7.11 Repaired in numerous places, with metal hooks at the lower joins; repainted on the lower body. Chipped slightly on the rim and foot.
51.7.9 Very worn around handle, mouth and one side of object. Suprisingly clear decorative banding and leaf motif in places. Intact.
54.8.1 Piece missing from lip and restored with plaster. Some flakes of the surface are missing resulting in exposing the clay and leaving an uneven surface. Hole in bottom of cup. Black faded or fired to light brown in places. Scratches on the underside.
56.8.4 The vessel appears to be cracked in several places and the handle has been rejoined. It is also quite glossy.
57.7.9 Very worn around handle, mouth and one side of object. Suprisingly clear decorative banding and leaf motif in places. Intact.
59.6.1 Intact and complete except for a chip in the foot. Surface chipped and worn, especially on handles. White and grey deposit on handles and foot; black dulled to red in places.
60.1.4A-B Complete and intact. Small chips on rim and the edge of the lid. Decoration faded in places on both lid and body. Scratches on body and white deposits.
62.5.1 Intact. Small deposits inside and some flaking of paint. Small chips in rim. Black has faded to red in places.
64.7.1 One handle and the attached part of the rim are missing. The black colour misfired to red in certain places (e.g. at the handle and at the external side of the rim, underside of the foot, tongues, below the tongues, where the thin line is now reddish-yellow). There are deposits on the exterior of the body and the underside of the foot. Small chips to the rim.
67.7.3 Reed not preserved. Silver has broken away in places but has lost some of its glaze and lustre in others. The bronze has deteriorated to green in places. Some repair to silver and bulbous neck. The instrument is in fact sturdy despite its outward appearance.
74.7.5 Complete. Has been glued back together from two pieces. Is entirely covered by dark deposit, possibly from the action of fire. Thought to be from a burnt grave. There is a lot of flaking, revealing white. The features of the face are distinguishable, but are worn in places. The back is much lighter in colour, but still covered in brown/green deposit and feels rough to the touch.
78.12.1 Intact, top part of the vertical handle is missing, small hole in the left hand side of the body, chip on the edge of the base. Wash is worn in places, with a small amount of white deposit around decoration. Some blackening around spout.
78.12.10 Complete and intace, moulded designs worn. Wash worn and white deposits in places, black marks on the base.
78.12.14 Intact, small hole in left hand side of the body, wash fading in places with a large amount of white deposit on the body and on the discus. Chip on surface of discus.
78.12.15 Intact, chip on the base, underside of the nozzle and at the wick hole, small amount of chipping on the surface of the discus. Wash becoming worn in places, small amount of white deposit, mainly on the underside and on the interior.
78.12.18 Intact, a few chips around outside of rim, scratches on inside and underside. Base roughened. Small amount of black at the end of the wick rest, white deposit in places. Two small holes, one on the underside of the rim, the other on the base. Unglazed.
78.12.22 Intact and complete, gladiator rather worn and slipworn in places. Underneath has white soil deposits.
78.12.4 Intact and complete, some of the wash has worn in places. There is a large amount of white/grey deposit, including an amount making the filling hole smaller.
78.12.7 Intact and complete, decoration and wash worn in places. White deposit all over, especially on the interior, nozzle tip blackened, probably due to use.
78.12.9 Intact. Handle completely missing, left side of the nozzle is missing. Wash is worn and chipped in places, large amount of white-grey deposit mainly on the base and the interior, blocking air hole.
79.1.10 Intact, missing handle, small hole in the base. Lumpy deposit over areas of the lamp, wash wearing in places. Blackening of the nozzle due to use.

79.1.13 Complete and intact, the black glaze has worn considerably in places. Deposit in places, a hairline crack is starting on the nozzle.
79.1.17 Complete and intact but surface very worn. Handle and nozzle blackened possibly from burning. White deposit in places. Slight depression on left hand side of the nozzle shaft.
79.1.7 Intact and complete, brownish to black wash waring in places. White deposit on the base and blackening around the nozzle, probably due to use.
79.1.8 Complete, decoration very worn, filling hole is irregular; this may be due to it's production. Nozzle tip is blackened; probably from usage. nozzle end is scored with many lines. White deposit in places.
80.7.1 Comprised of 25 of more rejoined pieces, preserving almost the entire vase. The surface, both glazed and reserved areas, have been heavily eroded, especially on interior, rim, handles, and one side of the exterior (around the siren on the right). The surface is also scratched. and stained gray in places
87.2.1 Right foreleg and part of tail missing. Left foreleg has been restored. Traces of white slip. The once probably black colour of the decoration is now brown/red. The surface of the figurine is worn and scratched in places.
E.23.23 Intact and complete; stained in places.
E.62.46 Due to deterioration the sharp edge has disappeared due to deposits. The tip is missing and the bronze has discolored to green in places. Two small holes near the nail have appeared perhaps due to deterioration as well.
E.62.59 Broken in three (previously written as two) places and a fragment missing. The cracks are very evident and the sealant used has left a glaze on the underside of the pot. There are also several scratches on the base gained through general ware and tear.
REDMG:1950.25.1 Nearly complete, except for missing a large chip on the rim (shows signs of previous restoration); handle has been reattached. Decoration cracked around handle attachment; lower part of body gouged in places, as is the underside.

REDMG:1997.209.3 Complete, although the handle and neck (comprised of 5 smaller pieces) have been rejoined to the body; surface scratched and pitted, with the surface worn off in places; some yellow stains.
REDMG:1997.209.4 Comprised of five or more rejoined pieces, scratched and stained on the surface, eroded in places, and repainted on the handle (where the paint is peeling off).
TEMP.2002.7.1 Intact. The rim suffers from several chips, one in particular quite large, opposite one of the handles. There is also evidence of wear on the glaze, as there is on the inside of the bowl. On the band inside the bowl can be found three deeper scratches, as well as the occasional small hole. The handles of the bowl also reveal small chips on their glaze, as well as small scratches. The band which leads down to and envelops the top of the foot, contains small scratches, and where it meets the foot are lots of small cracks in the glaze. There is also some yellowy/grey deposit, which we can also see on the base of the foot. The base is chipped slightly in places and there are small scratches in the glazed bands.
TEMP.2003.2.7 Marked and worn in many places.
TEMP.2003.6.13 Two uneven parts of a double handle. The glaze appears greenish or streaky at places and there are spots that the colour looks peeled off. There are also traces of white plaster.
TEMP.2003.6.26 Fragment worn in places. There are white spots all over the interior, and small chips along the exterior.
