Shape Lamp
Shape_description Large, deep, circular body, small convex shoulder, concave discus with a small filling hole at the center. Medium flat nozzle (broken) concave sides with a small air hole at the base of the nozzle, the start of a rounded tip with a circular wick hole. Space for handle. Circular flat delineated base.
Material Terracotta
Fabric Perhaps Italian
Fabric_description very light ware.
Munsell_color 7.5YR 7/4
Decoration Three moulded rings around the discus, single volutes on either side of the nozzle. Brown-red wash all over.
Inscriptions
Condition Intact. Handle completely missing, left side of the nozzle is missing. Wash is worn and chipped in places, large amount of white-grey deposit mainly on the base and the interior, blocking air hole.
