A number of chips on the lower part of the base. The larger allows the clay inclusions (white stones) to show through.

Reed not preserved. Silver has broken away in places but has lost some of its glaze and lustre in others. The bronze has deteriorated to green in places. Some repair to silver and bulbous neck. The instrument is in fact sturdy despite its outward appearance.
