14.9.42 The paint on the exterior surface is in bad condition having eroded away and become dull in the places where it remains. The middle swirl of the pattern is nearly lost completely. Reasonably free from deposits.
2005.3.32 Bad, fragment is heavily encrusted with dark brown deposits and red is faded and stratched
22.3.2 One side missing. Inside has white deposits and traces of red due to bad firing. Crack around top of foot.
22.9.5 Currently in 9 fragments. Main body of cup has had one fragment glued back into place. Does not appear that all pieces of cup are present. Needs to be reconstructed. Base has large chip. Bad condition however, black glaze seems to be in a good condition.
22.9.6 Consists of 7 fragments and 6 more fragents yet to be reconstructed. A small fragment seems to have been missing when most of the cup was put back together, therefore somebody has used plaster to refill the small piece. One of the side handles broken off and most of the side of the cup is incomplete. Bad condition. Black glaze worn. Small soil deposits situated around cup.
25.9.1 One handle missing, the other repaired. Badly damaged all over, with paint flaking badly from the mouth area, body and foot having been repaired extensively and the glaze is a bad condition leaving the clay exposed. Plaster inserted in base to increase stability.
26.4.2 Complete but stuck back together from eight(?) seperate pieces. The glaze both inside and out is very worn, and the rim shows chipping and flaking. The inside of the pot is not completely smooth and there is a grey/white deposit, especially around the inner rim. Both of the handles have a lot of the same grey/white deposit on them, as well as big worn patches on the glaze. There is more deposit on the outside, especially around the foot. The surface outside is also in fairly bad condition, the surface revealing lots of small scratches and chips. The top of the foot has two significant chips in it but other than that it is in good condition, showing only small cracks running through the glaze in the well on the underneath of the foot.
29.11.2 Intact. Paint slightly worn in places but overall in very good condition. Bad quality of gloss fired brownish. Gloss applied thinly on the exterior of the mouth and the handle.
45.6.18 Large chip taken from body but not creating a hole. Paint around mouth and handle has flaked off. Bad quality glaze fired brown on the top of the rim, handle and neck.
45.9.1 Possibly repaired. Paint is in bad condition and surface feels rough as paint has flaked away. Glaze has been lost and the paint on the foot and inside the mouth is untidy and streaky.
60.8.1 Intact. One of the handles broken off and restored. Small chip under this handle. Bad quality gloss that is not lustrous. Thinly applied on the exterior of the body and the foot ring. Deposits on the rim, handles and the underside of the foot
60.8.2 Complete and intact, but in fairly bad condition. It has been badly fired, which has left the glaze patchy, especially on the back of the body. Fired to reddish brown. Around the rim of the mouth, the glaze has been worn and scratched away to reveal the reserved clay, as it has around the handles. The decoration on the main zone is still fairly visible, but is worn in patches and flaking around the edges. At many parts, clay flaked off. Around the top of the foot is greyish white deposit, also evident around the handles. There is a large chip in the foot. White has faded.
E.62.60 Intact. No major chips or dents (except one dent near the base which is a result of bad workmanship or is designed to allow the pot), very little deposit. The decoration is still very clear.
TEMP.2002.9.29 The paint on the underside is in very bad condition; streaky, dull and flaking away at the edges. The paint on the topside is dull but not flaking. Paint has worn badly from rim. Deposits are on the edges.
