Decoration | Blocks XI, XII, XIII and XIV of the north frieze of the Parthenon, showing a section of the procession of the Panathenaic festival. Two three-horse chariots with two riders each proceed leftwards while marshalled by three men. The chariot pairs are made up of one armoured male (with helmet, muscles cuirass and shield) and one female holding the reins. Blocks XI and XIII are heavily reconstructed following damage to the originals. Block XIV is completely reconstructed from drawings |
