Decoration Cast of the bust of a goddess, perhaps Aphrodite, from the East pediment of the Parthenon (438–432 BC). Most scholars agree that this figure represents Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, leaning on her mother, Dione. Although the cast is only a small fraction of the original statue group, it allows us to see how Aphrodite was depicted in the Classical age.
Inscriptions
Condition Fair, in 2022 the cast was conserved with Polyfilla to repair any damage. This was then colour matched so that it would not stand out against the original colour. Old colourmatching was removed as it was lighter and bluer than the plaster on the rest of the bust.
