On underside paint has faded to red in some areas and in others the paint has flaked away. The topside has lost much of its white dots and bands. Small bits arte flaking away as well. Black meander faded to red.

The rim has been reconstructed from 2 fragments repaired. The handle has also been rejoined with the vessel and the whole of the upper part (from rim to end of shoulder) has been reattached to the body. The glaze is shiny in places but has begun to crack in others. There are also deposits on the rim, neck, shoulder and foot / base. Several bits have pitted off from the body.

Reed not preserved. Silver has broken away in places but has lost some of its glaze and lustre in others. The bronze has deteriorated to green in places. Some repair to silver and bulbous neck. The instrument is in fact sturdy despite its outward appearance.

The gaps between some teeth have become adhered by deposits. Others have warped out of shape. There is black discolouration, perhpas due to damp, on one face of the comb. A part has broken from the side but is due to be repaired.

Intact. There are chips all over the object, some that just remove paint others that take some wood as well, particularly on the the left side of the beetle its self. There is a large white deposit on the right wing whcih has collected where some paint has chipped away.
