Enclosed note written in pencil on the back of a printed piece of paper is also well preserved and legible. Cork stopper, seemingly original to the 1890s acquisition of the head, is covered in newspaper which is also well preserved and legible.
59.6.3 Only the handle is ancient. Bronze has discoloured and lost its glaze in areas. Deposits inside the mouth. Stands lopsided. Some dents in the body.
60.8.1 Intact. One of the handles broken off and restored. Small chip under this handle. Bad quality gloss that is not lustrous. Thinly applied on the exterior of the body and the foot ring. Deposits on the rim, handles and the underside of the foot
60.8.2 Complete and intact, but in fairly bad condition. It has been badly fired, which has left the glaze patchy, especially on the back of the body. Fired to reddish brown. Around the rim of the mouth, the glaze has been worn and scratched away to reveal the reserved clay, as it has around the handles. The decoration on the main zone is still fairly visible, but is worn in patches and flaking around the edges. At many parts, clay flaked off. Around the top of the foot is greyish white deposit, also evident around the handles. There is a large chip in the foot. White has faded.
61.6.1.1 Intact, but one side of the cup is missing.

64.7.1 One handle and the attached part of the rim are missing. The black colour misfired to red in certain places (e.g. at the handle and at the external side of the rim, underside of the foot, tongues, below the tongues, where the thin line is now reddish-yellow). There are deposits on the exterior of the body and the underside of the foot. Small chips to the rim.
65.6.1 Many spots have been pitted off, especially on the mouth, handle and neck. There are also some bits (shallow) that have been chipped off, especially on the shoulder and upper body, however, the vessel is intact.
67.6.2 Well kept, though part of hair on the back-right appears to be missing and the nose is chipped off. Parts of the paint also appear to be chipped off/missing, particularly on the stand.
67.7.1 Incomplete. The figure has broken in half and been glued back together, however, at the back, there is a chip missing still. The grey colour is interspersed with deposit of a dark brown colour, which is even more prominant on the back. The features of the face have almost all worn away, except for the nose. Around the front and sides of the base are white and dark grey deposits.
67.7.3 Reed not preserved. Silver has broken away in places but has lost some of its glaze and lustre in others. The bronze has deteriorated to green in places. Some repair to silver and bulbous neck. The instrument is in fact sturdy despite its outward appearance.
68.12.2 Intact and complete except for two chips on the rim. The top of the knob has a crack across the middle, leading to a hole in the deeper recess. The surface is worn, with cracks to the glaze surrounding the attachment of the knob and white deposits throughout the decoration. Yellow deposits on the underside of the lid, just outside the flange.
68.12.3 Complete and intact. Yellowish-red accretions on the knob and top of lid as well as the underside mar the surface. The outer part of the lid is worn. The handle of the lid shows areas of wear, especially on the leaves. The stem and underside of the rim are covered in pinky/beige deposit. A white deposit occupies most of the underside.
69.7.1 The vessel is complete, but some of the decoration has peeled off (handle, edge of rim, straps and sole). The white has faded. The underside of the heel has one pit.
71.12.5 Two holes have been restored with transparent material. The end of the strigil is damaged. Discolouration of bronze to green, blue and black. Only a couple of areas of the true bronze colour remains. A couple of cracks have appeared making the object fragile.
71.12.6 Large parts of bronze have broken away from the sides of the curved section. The most important aspect to note is the deterioration in colour to blue, green, black and brown. Only in a couple of areas does the true colour of the bronze show through. Deposits under the handle where it joins the body. Small hole to one side of the curved section.
73.6.4 Single fragment. The surface reveals few, tiny scratches, but does have a big flake missing on the palmette. There is also some deposit of a grey/brown colour. The inside gloss shows some scratches that run with the grain of the material, as well as some small flakes missing.
73.9.2 Fragment. Handle covered in scratches and patches of wear, especially on left arm. At the bottom of the left arm of handle is a small chip with a white patch in the middle. Rim, and both inside and outside of fragment show more small scratches. Larger scratch diagonally down left, through black band directly beneath the ivy leaf.
73.9.23 The surface of the fragment appears to be in fairly good condition, except for a few small areas of grey deposit. The back of the fragment varies in colour, moving from red to black and then grey. The surface however is again in fairly good condition with no real evidence of wear except for a few small scratches.
73.9.30 Single triangular fragment preserving some of the rim. Good condition, though there is a slight chip on the upper part of it.
73.9.5 Fragment. Both the inside and outside edges of the rim are worn, and there is a small chip. The outside surface is chipped slightly, and has a few small areas of a grey deposit.
73.9.7 Incomplete, only a small amount of the cup remains, including one handle. Two pieces are glued back together. The glaze on the outside edge of the rim has completley worn away, and there are small scratches all over the surface. Both inside and out, there are traces of a whitish deposit, except on the foot where the deposit is more of a pinky colour.
73.9.8 Two fragments. (a)The glaze on the rim and the inside of the fragment shows a few small scratches. On the rim and the outside of the fragment there are a few small areas of milky/white deposit. The black blob reveals an area which may have been the base of a handle. The colour of the clay inside here, is a more pink colour. Like the first fragment, fragment (b) shows evidence of small scratches on the glaze, both inside and out, but seems in fairly good condition, with no evidence of deposit.
74.7.3 Small chip on rim, where gloss is worn; Good quality black gloss; Gloss flaked off rim and around the ring of the foot; white deposits on inside and on handle. Red misfired line around the ring of the foot probably caused during the firing in the kiln.
74.7.5 Complete. Has been glued back together from two pieces. Is entirely covered by dark deposit, possibly from the action of fire. Thought to be from a burnt grave. There is a lot of flaking, revealing white. The features of the face are distinguishable, but are worn in places. The back is much lighter in colour, but still covered in brown/green deposit and feels rough to the touch.
76.6.1 Lip and frontal part of the neck is chipped. Handle assempled from three fragments. Black paint is dull and has been flaked off largely. The surface has a 'dusty' appearance.
78.12.1 Intact, top part of the vertical handle is missing, small hole in the left hand side of the body, chip on the edge of the base. Wash is worn in places, with a small amount of white deposit around decoration. Some blackening around spout.
78.12.11 Intact, handle is missing the top half, decoration is very worn. Wash is mostly intact with a white deposit in areas. Very slight darkening around the tip of the nozzle probably from use.
78.12.13 Intact, part of the base is missing, hairline fracture radiating from this damage. Wash is worn, especially on the decoration and base. Large amount of grey deposit all over, interior and exterior.
