Shape Lekythos
Shape_description Chimney mouth with everted lip, slightly concave on the upper surface, and ridged on the lower surface, offset from a tall cylindrical neck, which broadens to a flat shoulder. Small strap handle arches up from alongside the neck and rejoins at the bottom of the shoulder; below a carination at shoulder is a cylindrical body, tapering towards the base, and then sharply narrowing to a short stem.

Decoration Mouth black inside and out, with a reserved lip; reserved neck; black on exterior of handle; band of black vertical bars above band of black rays on shoulder. Body, top: black line at top of body. Body (at front, only): three rows of black dots between four black lines; black lines above and below figural scene; below, simple maeander to right, above a black line. Body, below: two black lines, thick black band, two thinner black bands, black to foot. Figural scene depicts a goddess mounting a quadriga, profile to right. Behind the horses are a seated (?) female figure, also profile to right, and a standing male (?) figure, from whom emerge, to either side, dotted branches; in front of the horses is a lyre player, seated profile to the left. All figures are heavily draped.
Inscriptions
Condition Foot is restored; missing one chip on right side of shoulder; deposits on mouth, lip, and under handle; surface decoration has faded.
