Miniature neck amphora

Shape_description

Two thin vertical strap handles arch up from the top of a cylindrical neck, slightly offset at the bottom, and rejoin at the middle of a sloping shoulder; shoulder curves sharply into a conical body, slightly rounded at the bottom where it joins a short stem flaring to a disk foot, hollowed at the bottom.

Decoration

Reserved except for black glaze on the handle top(s) (dipped), two black lines on shoulder, a narrow black band above a broader black band just above the foot, and a black band on the exterior of the foot.

Inscriptions

Condition

Lip, mouth and one handle missing, while the remaining handle has been rejoined. The base is chipped in two places; black glaze eroded. Gray deposits under the handle.
