| Shape_description | Coffin lid ornament: backbone of Osiris. The object is a cross shape. The horizontal piece of the cross is a square with three horizontal lines carved across it. This is placed about nine-tenths of the way up the vertical piece. Just below the horizontal square are three finer carved lines. | ||

| Decoration | The Djed sign, a sign of stability, which was held in one of hands crossed on the breast. This probably represents a lopped cedar or four pillars in perspective. | ||

| Condition | Intact, it is clear from the top and bottom part of the artefact that it has been removed from a larger object, since they appear to be thinner than the rest of the object and therefore look like 'connectors' of some kind. There appears to be very little degradation of the wood. There are some remnants of a white pigment on the lower half. | ||
