Decoration | Blocks XXXVI, XXXVII, part of XXXVIII and XLI of South Frieze of the Parthenon, showing a section of the procession of the Panathenaic festival. Blocks XXXVI and XXXVII show a procession of elders; this section is heavily reconstructed. Block XXXVIII is reconstructed following drawings. Blocks XXXIX and XL are completely reconstructed, as the originals were removed when the building was used as a church. Block XLI depicts youths driving a bull to sacrifice. |
