Rounded, everted rim, long neck, piriform body, ring foot. Thick strap handle curves up from the middle of the thick neck and down to the shoulder.

Decoration

Surface decorated with red slip. Two narrow black bands around bottom of neck, with six sets of narrow black vertical bands (alternating from three to four) extending down from the neck to the base; each set of four bands has a vertical row of small circles down the centre.

Inscriptions

Condition

Intact and complete; surface weathered, with scratches and abrasions. Slight chip on foot and two chips on lip. Drip of (accidental?) black paint on side of handle. 'CH' written in pencil on the bottom.
