Shape Lamp
Shape_description Mainly circular body, nozzle is moulded with body disturbing the circular edge back half of body is deeper than the front. Shoulders are convex, discus is concave with a small circular filling hole in the centre. Long deep nozzle, sides follow smoothly on from the body, elongating the circular shape, slightly concave top marked with a ridge on either side, rounded tip and slightly irregular circular wick hole. Remains of small vertical handle attached to the shoulder. Small circular base, slightly concave not lineated.

Munsell_color 7.5YR 7/6
Decoration Two bands of laurel leavess with berries on either shoulder between the handle and nozzle, discus decorated in raised moulded relief of a fourteen petal warped rosette. Two very small circles are placed at the body end of the nozzle, on either ridge of its top. Moulded line along the crest of the handle with two small lines either side of it at the front of the handle. The back side of the body, under the handle are three lines; the central is straight and terminates at the base with a bud either side, the other two terminate in volutes. Red wash all over.
Inscriptions Graffito: appears to be 'AI' on base
Condition Intact, upper portion of handle missing, filling hole shape slightly obscured by missing area of discus. Wash worn in most place, superficial chips in the body blackening along the left side of the shoulder, nozzle and all though the interior.
