Condition The head of the figure has broken off, as has the top of the spear. There is a section missing from the right of the shield, and the central boss has almost become detached. Te right foot is also missing. There are further fracture-lines extending at nine o'clock from the top of the figure and across the shield from the centre.

Provenance Said to be from the Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia, Sparta.
