Both the back and front are relatively flat and smooth - the front is the side which has the base sticking out further than the back. There are indications that something was painted on it - black line by the right arm, on the front at the bottom, and on the back on the lower half of the body - here there are three vertical lines, the middle line being the longest. There are four black blobs on the square base.
