Shape Lamp
Shape_description Circular body, short flat spout with circular wick hole and rounded tip. Slightly sunken discus with filling hole on the same axis as the wick hole, but not in the centre of the discus. Demarcated base, slightly concave.

Fabric_description Dark orangy-pink clay. No visible inclusions.
Munsell_color 2.5YR 6/6
Decoration Moulded ring around discus, within is a "Throx" gladiator in relief standing on base-line; helmet, shield, sword, top of greaves distinguishable. Moulded single volutes on either side of the nozzle shaft, at their termination are raised marks towards the base. A faint raised line next to the gladiator on the right. Red slip all over.
Inscriptions
Condition Intact and complete, gladiator rather worn and slipworn in places. Underneath has white soil deposits.
