Shape_description Round knob, fragment from lid of lekanis or pyxis, with stem. Knob formed of flat top, with inset circle, depressed centre; profile in two parts, convex on upper part, flat and vertical below; flat underside, offset from short cylindrical stem.

Decoration Top decorated with black concentric band around double palmette (each palmette comprised of 5 petals), symmetrically arranged, with a line of black dots in between (three on either side). Black on sides, black band around underside; hastily glazed neck, black below.
Inscriptions
Condition Single fragment, broken off at the top of the lid (just below stem); residue of varnish or glue on edge indicates that it was rejoined to other pieces. Pattern worn on top, where knob is chipped (on top and on side of knob). Grey deposit on surface, especially underside of knob.
